Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a great tool to help aid in the health of your horse. Acupuncture works through neuromodulation to help improve the body’s healing abilities. While it started as a traditional eastern medicine technique, it has been widely documented to be efficacious in evidence based studies. It has a wide range of effects on many aspects of the body, affecting the central, autonomic, and peripheral nervous systems. The many physiologic effects of acupuncture allow for targeted treatment of a problem in addition to systemic neuroregulation to help aid in the restoration of normal function. In addition to traditional acupuncture dry-needling, electroacupuncture is often used.
